Intro
to 2005 Wisconsin Burning
According
to the 2005
Wisconsin Burning report, Wisconsin fire
departments responded to an incident about every 4.6 minutes, a total
of 115,236 incidents in 2005. Compiled by the Fire Prevention Program,
the report contains data from 537 of Wisconsin's 862 fire departments.
This is 59 more fire departments than reported in 2004.
Although
not a complete picture of the fire departments' role in Wisconsin
communities, the 2005 report is a good overview of fire incidents. To
learn more, download the 16-page report, PDF file.
