KI Expansion Project to Create Up to 75 Jobs Over Three Years

Governor Jim Doyle recently announced that Krueger International, Inc. (KI) has received $375,000 in Enterprise Development Zone tax credits for an expansion project at its Bonduel manufacturing facility located in Shawano County.

"Manufacturing is, and will continue to be, at the heart of Wisconsin's economy," Governor Doyle said. "And KI is exactly the type of manufacturer we are looking to grow here in Wisconsin. I am pleased that we could help the company install a new product line at its Bonduel plant."

"The streamlining of production at Bonduel will result in enhanced quality control and accelerated delivery of products for our customers," said Beth Seymour, vice president of manufacturing, KI. "The addition of the new products positions Bonduel as a major manufacturing hub for KI."

KI manufactures innovative furniture and wall system solutions for the college and university, K-12, healthcare, government and corporate markets. It is consolidating the production of wooden tabletops at its Bonduel facility. Total project cost will approximate $1.1 million, and the expansion is expected to create up to 75 jobs over the next three years.

Founded in 1941, KI is an employee-owned company. It is headquartered in Green Bay and operates sales offices and manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. KI tailors products and service solutions to the specific needs of each customer through its unique "Market of One" customer service and manufacturing philosophy.
