Kenji Higashi, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Business Advisor for Wisconsin

Kenji Higashi will assume the duties of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Business Advisor for Wisconsin on April 1. He will work with Wisconsin firms that are interested in expanding their business ties with Japan.

Kenji has more than 20 years of experience in Japanese automotive and machinery industries. He continues to serve as an investment advisor to the Chicago office of JETRO and a business consultant to many American companies on their Japanese business. He is a native of Japan who proudly became an American citizen in 2000. In his spare time he likes to paint and is a member of Oil Painters of America (OPA).

Kenji's predecessor, Takahiro "Taka" Hagisako, is returning to Japan to take a position with IBM Business Consulting Services in Tokyo.

JETRO has six offices in the United States that provide information and support to American companies looking to enter or expand in the Japanese market. JETRO provides a wide-range of services, such as timely market intelligence, extensive business development support, and relevant business events, all designed to encourage new business between innovative American companies and Japan.
