Tom Peters to Keynote Wisconsin Innovates! Conference

Internationally-renowned consultant and best-selling author Tom Peters will keynote the Wisconsin Innovates! Business Best Practices Conference, presented by Governor Jim Doyle, on March 28-29 at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.

Peters is widely considered America's leading business visionary. Called "the father of the post-modern corporation" by the Los Angeles Times and the nation's business "guru" by both Fortune and the Economist, Peters' career has made him one of the most influential businessmen of our age. He is the co-author of In Search of Excellence - named one of NPR's "Top Three Business Books of the Century" — and Re-Imagine! Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age. This is his first public presentation in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Innovates! programs will deliver insights based on real experience and practical, market-tested tools. The conference is presented by the Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin Innovation Network. The conference will feature more than 20 workshops and panels on subjects such as Healthcare, Sales, Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Corporate Culture, Profit Growth, Human Resource Management, Technology and Diversity Conference presenters include, Daniel Ariens, President and CEO, Ariens Company, on lean manufacturing; Eric Reisner, Vice President of Strategic Programs , Johnson Controls, on small business survival skills; David Klante, Milwaukee Brewery Plant Manager, Miller Brewing Company, on tapping new innovations and solutions for remaining competitive; Kenneth Ciak , President, Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance, on making the most of human resources; and John Burke, president, Trek Bicycle Corporation, on the Trek way of doing business.
