Executive Residence Seeking Wisconsin Business Ornaments for Holiday Trees

The Executive Residence will be holding holiday tours again this December. Every year, a highlight of these seasonal tours is the display of large, decorated Wisconsin trees. This year, Governor and Mrs. Doyle have again chosen to make one of the trees a "Made in Wisconsin" tree to highlight the wide variety of manufacturers that help to define the state.

The Residence staff hopes to increase the number of ornaments this year, as it was a tree that was viewed with much interest in the past. They would very much appreciate it if Wisconsin business owners would join their efforts by donating one ornament that represents their business. The accompanying program, listing the names of these businesses, will be distributed to tour guests during the holiday tours.

The Governor and Mrs. Doyle feel this tree is one small way to pay tribute to the hardworking men and women in the state, and to demonstrate the pride they all feel about Wisconsin.

Because the Executive Residence is not only the home of the Governor and First Lady but also a state building, the staff asks that all ornaments be respectful of the separation of church and state. They hope that all Wisconsin citizens will be able to enjoy the holiday tours.

Please ship your ornament for display (by November 18th) to:
