The New Bureau of Entrepreneurship (BOE)Recognizing the important contribution of entrepreneurs to the Wisconsin economy, Governor Jim Doyle created a new Bureau of Entrepreneurship (BOE) in his economic strategy, Grow Wisconsin. Located at the Wisconsin Department of Commerce’s Division of Business Development, the BOE serves as a one-stop shop, first point of contact for the state’s entrepreneurs. In addition to basic business start-up assistance, the bureau will also focus its efforts on nurturing high-potential, high-growth companies. Existing Commerce programs geared toward helping small businesses get started are included in the new bureau.
