Proposed changes
to Comm 2, Fee Code, Comm 5, Licenses, Certifications, and
Registrations Code, and Comm 34, Amusement Ride Code, were sent on
August 7, 2008, to the state legislature for commitee review.
An
emergency
rule (PDF
file) was
issued November 2, 2007, concerning Comm 34, Amusement Rides
Code.
The emergency rule establishes liability insurance obligations for
amusement rides.

The
emergency rule create safety field attachment or connection redundancy
provisions for amusement rides where passengers donning harnesses are
elevated. |
Program
Description: The Safety and Buildings
Division establishes and enforces
standards to protect the design, construction, and operation of
amusement rides and attractions. The division reviews plans for new
installations of non-portable amusement rides and provides
consultations and inspections to ensure safe operations.
Staff also inspect ski lifts and tows.
