Wisconsin Exports and Exporters
Exporters are not required to report information on their international activities to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce. Data on the state's exports by product category and by destination originates with the U.S. Census Bureau. Click here for Wisconsin's top 10 export markets and the top 10 products shipped abroad. The
Wisconsin Department of Commerce has launched Wisconsin Exporters
Online, a searchable database that links suppliers in
Wisconsin with buyers in other countries. The service is
offered in partnership with The Export Yellow Pages™, the
official export directory of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Through surveys and direct contact with exporters, our staff tries to track who ships what where. Since not every firm volunteers information, our lists are not exhaustive. One firm may have made one shipment to a market several years ago, reported it to us, and appears in our lists. Another firm may regularly ship container-loads of product to that same market, but since they never informed us, they never appear on our lists. If you would like to purchase a list of exporters by country, you can obtain additional information from Stanley Pfrang, ph: (608) 267-0639.
Background information on Wisconsin firms can be obtained from several other agencies of the State of Wisconsin, including:
